Mingardo : The Metal Carpentry
Mingardo Ilario founded Mingardo Blacksmith Workshop in 1970, after over twenty years’
experience in the metal processing field.
The production was initially focused on simple blacksmith works for the construction industry.
Over the time, it has become more refined, enabling the company to collaborate
with internationally renowned companies and architects: from the first collaborations
with architect Carlo Scarpa to the more recent commissions
for Museo del Novecento in Milan, Parco della Musica in Florence, and Teatro Petruzzelli
in Bari.
Over the years, the Workshop has achieved great results, with the production of unique
metal products, all hand-wrought by a highly skilled team of specialized artisans. Nowadays,
it is highly regarded in the local artisan field for its high-end refined finishing touches
and details, and for its know-how

Daniele Mingardo and the collection.
Daniele Mingardo has been working in his father’s workshop since he was 18. In
2013, when he was only 25 and 40 years after the opening of the workshop, he
launched his own brand, Mingardo, in order to combine his passion for craftsmanship
with his love for design.
He has been creating small batches of numbered collections of home furniture
and accessories where metals are the star, often accompanied by other materials
such as wood. Exclusive, contemporary objects are crafted with precision and
high quality finishing.
